Luxury Borel Ingenieur II Monthly Calendar Watch Review

Luxury Borel Ingenieur II Monthly Calendar Watch Review

The Ball Ingenieur II Moon Calendar is made of polished stainless steel with a smooth finish. It is perfectly round, with a narrow bezel that leaves the dial as much space as possible. At 40mm in diameter, it has a moderate presence on the wrist, although the large dial makes it look larger than it is. 13mm in thickness is not excessive, and the watch feels slim and light.
The sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant and coated with an anti-reflective coating. It won’t catch the sun and create glare, and the flat profile won’t distort your dial. You can easily read the time, even from an extreme angle. There is also a sapphire display case-back that shows you the watch’s inner workings.
The case has a magnetic shield, so it won’t lose accuracy due to magnetic interference. It also has a knurled screw-down crown at 3 o’clock, which does not mistakenly pop out and expose the case to water. When the crown is down, the replica watch is water resistant to 100 meters. You can take a shower, swim, or go snorkeling with it without causing any damage.
An internal bezel on the outside of the dial serves as an external index. It is numbered in Arabic numerals from 1 to 31, indicating the current date. Inside it is the main index. This index has black hashes at the individual minute markers and tiny hashes at the 15-second markers. Every five minutes, a large silver application marker with a luminescent stripe is in the center.
There are four hands on this dial instead of the traditional three. The hour and minute hands are wide and silvered, with pointed ends and a luminescent stripe in the center for easy viewing. The hour hand is slightly shorter and fatter, but they have the same overall design. The seconds hand, by contrast, is very long and slender and would be almost invisible were it not for a square luminescent block near the end. The fourth hand tracks the external date index. It is long and thin, with a crescent-shaped tip.
The Ingenieur II Moon Calendar is secured to the wrist with a stainless steel bracelet. It has a standard three-link design with a folding clasp that opens easily when you want to remove it. The outer links are brushed to create a darker effect, while the middle is polished to match the case.
Under the hood, the watch is powered by the Ball RR1807 movement. This is an internal modification of the ETA 2836-2, one of the most popular movements on the market. It retains the same 38-hour power reserve and most other movement features. The only difference is that it is adapted to display the moon phases.
